The Rolex Day-Date 36 Ref. 18238 shown in the image is an iconic luxury watch featuring a 36mm case and a fluted bezel crafted from solid 18-karat yellow gold. Waterproof up to 100 meters (10 ATM) thanks to its screw-down crown and caseback, it is fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a Cyclops magnifying lens over the date.
The standout feature of this timepiece is its exquisite white mother-of-pearl dial, adorned with applied yellow gold Roman numerals and matching central hands (all of which are non-luminescent). It displays the model's signature dual complications: the date window at 3 o'clock and the day of the week, written out in French, at 12 o'clock.
Powering the watch is the automatic Calibre 3155, a COSC-certified chronometer with a 48-hour power reserve. This movement features a Double Quickset function, allowing for the independent adjustment of both the day and date. While not a limited edition, this original mother-of-pearl configuration makes it a rare and highly collectible timepiece.
